Client: One of the top three U.S. Health Plans
Issue: Wanted to understand how important quality and cost were to consumers with high deductible health plans and HSAs.
Custom Research Design: Conducted individual interviews in multiple cities with plan members and members of competing brands. In these one-hour guided sessions, consumers visited, used, and reacted to information presented via a test website.
Key Findings:
- Identified criterion consumers use to judge hospitals and physician quality.
- Revealed consumer’s desire for information and ability to process pricing and cost information.
Research ROI: The company gained critically important insight into consumer dynamics with regard to pricing transparency and better understood the value of displaying such information for health plan members.
