Every organization needs a cause. Something to fight for - something to believe in. A way to evoke change, which is what Catalyst Healthcare Research is all about.

Our cause is childhood obesity which leads to many health problems, especially Type II Diabetes. We believe that prevention and wellness is the key. Teaching children the importance of physical activity and healthy eating is critical in order to combat the growing trend of childhood obesity. Did you know more than 12.5 million children and adolescents - 17.1 percent of people ages 2 to 19 years - are overweight? As they grow older, the risk for cardiovascular disease such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure and Type II Diabetes increases.

Join us as we participate in the Nashville American Diabetes Association's "Step Out" walk to fight diabetes - Saturday, November 7th at the Nashville Zoo.
